Jim, Yes, that might be helpful. I am searching for a John Marley born c. 1842. He was a steel worker. They lived in the Philadelphia, Pa. area. He married Harriett Jane Ott b. Mar of 1860 in the McKesport, Pa. area. I would love to make a connection for the Marley family. John Marley was killed in a Carnigee Steel Mill Accident on 6 Feb 1893. After John died Harriett married (in 1892) William Austin who already had Chester, William, Charles and Irene B. Children of John Marley and Harriett Jane Ott are: Harry Austi Marley b. June 1882 John Barnett Marley b. Dec 1883 and twins Frances Marley and George G Marely b. Sept 1886. There is an oral story in the family that a "Preacher man" took the kids in when their father died and worked the children hard. I understand that my grandfather John and his brother Harry left home at a very young age. They were ages 10 and 11 when their father died. They "ran away" and came to the Homestead, Pa. area. I have given you every bit of information I know in hopes that you might be able to connect with them. Please let me know. I would love to have any information on the Marley family that you might have. I plan on putting all of my information in a book and making it available to anyone doing research. Thank you for your kind response to my inquiry. Jan
