I have just located the marriage record for William Marley and Eleanor Simon, if this is any help to you researchers. Washington County Marriage Record, p. 35 & 41 has record of license issued, per affidavit of B. Simons, and marriage solominized.This family was listed in 1850 Orange Co., IN Census:
1850 census - French Lick Twp. Orange Co. IN # 829
