In tonights Jackson Citizen Patriot is the obituary of"Paul Marlett, aged 80, of Michigan Center, went to be with the Lord, Dec. 28, 2003, at the Faith Haven Care Center.He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie;dau. Pamela (Jim) Meinka of Clark Lake;son, Gary (Sheryl) Marlett of Hanover; grandson Jordan Lusk;granddau., Haley Lusk;stepgranddau., Robin Meinka and Toni Curtis;stepgrandsons, Dan Meinka and Steven Curtis;his twin sister, Pauline (Jim) Brinkerhoff;and sister, Katie Nastally;numerous nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Louis & Jessie Marlett; three sisters and six brothers.Paul was a Naval veteran of WWII serving 6 years and four months;retired from Asbestos Workers Local No 47 after 37 years of service;
enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing;and was a member of the American Legion Rose City Post NO. 324 and the Harmony Baptist Church.Services will be held at the funeral home Wed. 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chuck Turner officiating.
Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be held Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.The family suggests contributions in his memory be made to the American Lung Assoc.Chapel Military Honors will be held courtesy of the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.www.mlive.com/obits
