Dear Lynda I did try e-mailing you but have no idea if you received it or not. RE the Llanwinio Marks families as yet I have not linked the Cilrhedyn / Kilrhedyn Marks families to here. I'm in Wales next week and hope to visit the National Library of Wales to see how the Cilrhedyn Marks families connect together. If I come across any links then I'll let you know. I've also started gathering information about the BMD of the Marks families in Carmarthenshire. So I do have the following about the Llanwinnio Marks family: William married Margaret TREHARNE Llanwinnio 16.11.1815 (Dyfed marriages) Born to Margaret: 1816 Thomas 1821 Margaret 1824 John * 1827 Phoebe * 1830 twins: Isaac & Martha * 1833 Jonah * 1835 Harriet * These births were registered at Llanginin Calvanistic Congregation, Rhydycessciad and they were living in Llanwinio/ Caerlloeon Fach for the births of Phoebe onwards - info from non conformist registers the genealogist.co.uk other births from IGI family search register entries (not individual submissions)search for your BMD info? Where did you I haven't found a William Marks baptism or a marriage for a John Marks & Margaret James so at present am unable to help any further. I would think that there is a strong chance that all the Marks families are related further back along the line, it's just finding the link. Knowing how this particular surname started would help too. When searching for the Llanwinnio Marks families did you come across any Cilrhedyn / Kilrhedyn Marks families? Interestingly a Hannah Marks b circa 1838/9 (daughter of Thomas & Charlotte Marks) married a Daniel Mathias. They had 3 children Elizabeth, Anne and Margaret. You can e-mail me on s5nov5@yahoo.co.uk best wishes Sandra Marks Notify Administrator about this message?
