Hello

I am Larry L. Markins of Central Indiana. From all of the information I have seen the " S " was added in the Late 1800's by some branches of the Markin family. Who knows why ? Cindy Ewell has been very helpful in tracking the Markin / Markins families back to the late 1700's. Going back to mid-1800's and pryor there does not seem to be an " S " in any spelling that I have seen.
