Hi Rosemary
Sorry to be so long getting back to you - no luck I'm afraid - I checked Lincs,Leics,Notts & Northants but no Elizabeth Markham/Marcomb for the dates you mention or George Arnell either.Notts have a few Arnells and there are Parnells - a George Parnell m Eliz Wilson Whitby in 16.09.1867 at Worksop Priory(St.Mary St Cuthbert) and a George Parnell m Mary Peake 08.01.1896 at Sutton Bonnington St.Michaels.
My line of Markham only turns up in the 1600's down the maternal line - you may have more luck writing to the respective archives. My search was by no means totally comprehensive as I don't have all the resources to hand.
Good Luck
Margaret
