Looking for information on the family of Carroll Markham and wife Nancy Jane of Limestone Co., TX.
What I do have is that Carroll was born about 1822 in Tennessee and was the father of a James M. "Jim" Markham who was married to a Susan A.
On the 1880 census it lists Carroll with wife Nancy J. and two granddaughter .....one with the last name Cochran and the other with the last name Tribble so we know that two daughters married men with these names.
Another name listed is that of a William Deason but it appears there is no relation so evidentally he was just a friend living with them.
I find a "C. Markham" that fits this man in 1860 in Yalobusha Co., MS but have not been able to find him prior to this so wondering if maybe Carroll might be his middle name.......he did name a son Reuben Carroll so who knows?
Carroll has a grandson named Nimrod Frank or Frank Nimrod.....but I do believe he also had a brother named Nimrod........however I have not been able to verify this.
