Hi Marsha,
Thanks for responding. I would be very interested in hearing more about what you have found. I know that someone in the past had connected Daniel to the Markham's in Nottingham but that person also had Daniel's father as I believe Richard or Robert Markham from Nottingham. Daniel's father was James Markham. I have not found James parent's yet but it's possible that the Richard or Robert (I can't remember which name it was right now) was the grandfather to Daniel but haven't found the proof so far. I also haven't found where James was born yet. I have Daniel Markham as having come to this county in 1665 with his uncle Edward Collins and his cousin Nathaniel. Both of the names of Edward and especially Nathaniel run strong in the early generations of our Markham's. Martha Collins was born in Braintree, Essex, ENG which is close to Earls Colne (next town over). Please let me know what you have found so we can compare thoughts on this line.
