Hi Caroline yes i have a Steven and helen Markie/markey (found both these spellings for the same man) from Edinburgh all i know is that Steven was born in Irland abt 1824 and helen(dont know her Maiden name) in the Isle of man about 1826,they are the only steven and helen i have found in the 1881 census in Edinburgh there daughter mary was born abt 1858 can't find her birth yet. I can check the 1881 cenus again if you like
