I am trying to prove George Maris' Revolutionary War service George Maris was born in Chester County, PA in February 1744. He married Eleanor Lindley, born September 1750 in Chester County, PA They married April 18, 1770. The DAR returned the application stating that the lineage was correct, but the ancestor, George, was a Quaker, and could not be a patriot.
