My Great-Grandmother was Sarah Lena (Maris) Ten Cate. I am searching for her family. I know that her family emmigrated to Minnesota from somewhere in the Netherlands in the late 1800's. Her father's name was Peter Maris. I have very few facts about Peter and his family...I do know that Peter did move to Texas later in his life and that after becoming ill there, Sarah's husband and son traveled there and brought him back to Minnesota where he died and was buried. If anyone can give me any information about Peter or his family it would be greatly appreciated.
