I LOOKED AT THE ORIGINAL ISSUE(UNREVISED) OF JONES' BOOK AND THEY ARE CLOSE EXCEPT FOR THE SCOPE. THE JONES' BOOK COVERS A NARROW SEGMENT OF THE MARINES UP TO ABOUT THE MID OR LATE 1800'S.THE NEWSPAPER ARTICLES TRY TO COVER THE ENTIRE FAMILY AND IT'S DESCENDENTS FROM MILLICENT ON DOWN TO ABOUT 1950 OR 1960. MANY NAMES WHICH CAN HELP MANY PEOPLE RELATED TO THE FAMILY DO RESEARCH. THE NEWSPAPER HAS THE MATERIAL FROM JONES AT THE BEGINNING. I DID NOT CHECK WORD FOR WORD BUT BOTH MAY HAVE DETAIL THE OTHER DOES NOT ALTHOUGH THEY MAY BE OF MINOR IMPORTANCE. BUT THEN THE NEWSPAPER TRIES TO TAKE MILLICENT AND HIS DESCENDENTS UP TO 1960. A MASSIVE LISTING OF NAMES THAT CAN BE HARD TO FOLLOW DUE TO SAME FIRST NAMES, THE QUANTITY OF NAMES, AND THE SPREAD OVER THREE NEWSPAPER DATES.
