Dear Maria,

My whole family is from Hibbing, MN. My grandmothers name is Laura Jane Ewald, maiden nameMariani, she is an only child. Her father was Guido Giovanni Mariani, born in Iron Mountain, Mich. 1893, then moved to Sigillo, Perugia proidence, Italy as a child, then came Hibbing, MN about 1915, his wife was Elviira Cavalieri (Cavalier). His father was Giovanni (John) Mariani born in Sigillo, Perugia,Italia. Guido (Guy) had 5 or 6 brothers and sisters. I don't know about Giovanni though, he may be a brother of your Domenico. Your province of L'Aguila is 60 miles south of my province Perugia, which is in Umbria. Hope to find out if we have the same line. I'd never heard of your Marainis from Hibbing, Minnesota, it's a small iron mining town of about 20,000 people, so please tell me what years they were there.

Thank You,
Brett R. Ewald
