In Reply to: Margesons 1760"s New York by Stephen Margeson of 422

I have a Margeson family that I believe connects to the NY branch only because they don't seem to connect to the Nova Scotia branch..."My" Margeson materialized in KY in the early 1800's. Joseph and James Margeson were born in 1809/1804 in KY. They and a John Margeson are shown getting married in the 1820's in Jefferson Co. IN. Joseph married Lucretia Tatum of Madison Co. KY and James married Martha Bowen. John married Mary Ann Evins. I thought John was another brother but I find Mary Ann as a widow age 77 in the home of William Bowen(Martha Bowen Margeson's brother)in the 1860 Census. I believe this John is the father of James and Joseph. He died in Lancaster, Jefferson Co. IN between 1840 and 1850. If you have any clues as to a John Margeson that left NY to go to KY or IN born abt 1780 I would be most grateful. Kristin
