I have the Margerison family tree from around the Preston & Blackburn,Lancashire areas going back to around 1721. Probably the most famous Margerison was Joshua (born 1815)He founded a soap works in Preston which was very successful and their most famous product was Margerisons White Windsor Soap.A second soap factory was also established in Germanstown, Penn.USA. I am in contact with John Margerison who lives in Ormskirk, Lancashire. John has specialised in tracing the family tree and I am sure he would be willing to assist anyone requiring further information.
