My grans maiden name was Kate King from Stow on the Wold, she married a widower,who had one child, a boy,from a previous marriage.Her name then became Kate Margetts. She went on to have three children by him,one being my father Kenneth,known all his life as John,a girl by the name of Mary,and another son,called trevor.I do know that her husband had a quarry accident which led to her being widowed during I believe the early 40s .
