Looking for info on Mareks from Poland

Hello,

I was looking for any information on Mareks from the Poznan region of Poland. The region has been under the control of about four different nations throughout history, so it is pretty hard to find any original records.

I am descended from Reinhold Marek (1889-1981), and his father Adolph Marek (b. 1862).I believe that Adolph's father might be a man named Robert Marek. Reinhold escaped Europe when the Russian Revolution was underway, and emigrated to the United States. He and his father are listed as having lived in Alpena, Michigan from the 1920 census onward. Reinhold m. Emma Matilda Pollatsch (1893-1992), and they had three children.

If this family line looks familiar to anyone, please let me know. Any help on where this family comes from, along with any personal information or familiy stories, would be much appreciated.
