Hi David,
I have done a small bit of research on the Marek name. My husband is also a Bohemian Marek. There are quite a few Polish Mareks as well. I contacted a man near Moravia named Miroslav Marek and he told me that Marek is like "Smith" over here...it is very common. My husband's great-grandfather, Miroslav Marek, came over with his brother Bohumil Marek, from Kolin, Czechoslovakia (Bohemia/Bohmen) to Chicago, IL. He is listed in the Ellis Island records. You could try searching there as well if you haven't already.

The name "Marek" actually means Mark (the biblical "Mark") so it makes it very difficult to trace people with such a common name. So...to answer your question, there are quite a few Bohemian Mareks. Good luck! I'm still trying....
