John Marean Standish ME 1781

I would like to find the parents of John Marean who came
to Pearsontown (now Standish) Maine prior to 1781. Sears in his Early Families of Standish said that he came from Cape
Elizabeth, but I have found no record to prove that. There was a Josiah Marean in Cape Elizabeth, early 1800s, who was
born in Newton, Mass., and was a descendant of Dorman Marean. I wonder if there is a connection between these families. John m. Lois Bean in 1781.
