I am looking for information on a James Robert or James B. Mardis, son of a "Sam" (all that's known or rumored), born in Mardis, KY 8/4/1863, died 5/29/1948, buried Campbellsville, KY.
Married 3 women evidently: Flora Belle Adams, Flora B. Hensley and Berlie Dean Hunt.
My great-great grandfather. My grandfather was born to "Jim Bob" and Flora Belle in Franklin, IN 1892; Lloyd Ishmael. Lloyd I. was married to Pearl Esther Stillabower.
My Dad, Lloyd Robert was born to them, the third of four siblings, July 1928.
