Y-DNA-67 test ;Marcy- Massey-results related to May!

I recently received my lab results for Y-67 DNA test for Marcy (in the Massey project: NOTE: I had no match with the Massey Family!)) and find I am closely related (step 3) to a living May male and we have a solid common ancestor back to Sussex, England and before. Does anyone know of a Marcy surname varient-with the name of May? Marcys are from England, originally from France and came into England very near Sussex, then perhaps Cheshire to Limerick, Ireland and to Roxbury, Mass (John Marcy 1683, one of 13 original planters to go to Woodstock, Ct.(New Roxbury) in 1686, becoming the first generation ancestor of most of the decedents bearing the name or related to the Marcy Family within the US; 13 generations well varified in US. How do I research May-Marcy pre-America...any suggestions. Got to find out if and how we are related. John May(1630,Captain of "The James"from Sussex(and decendents) and John Marcy (from Limerick (father High Sheriff)) followed the same paths...Roxbury to Woodstock, but were about 30 years different. I will put myself into the May DNA project for more potential matches. Thanks for any help.

Barton Marcy
