Barton: I don't know if you have seen this before, but a lady researching Hugh Massey sent me this:

The said Hugh Massy, his Lordship's great-grandfather, married five wives, successively; and had issue by Margaret Percy of England, his first wife, Hugh, son and heir; also Alice, married to the rev. Anthony Irby, Doctor in Divinity; who had planted himself in Ireland, having been presented to ample livings in that kingdom, and was of the ancient family of the Irbies of Boston, in coun. Lancs, Progenitors of the present Lord Boston. Doctor Irby had issue by the said Alice, a daughter named Alice, married to John Earker of Dunkin, in the county of Limerick, Esq; (A Family of English extraction, and whose ancestors have been of considerable note in that kingdom). from whom the parkers of Castle Lough, and of Castle Town, in the county of tipperary, and other places are descended.

The said Hugh Massy had issue by his second wife, a daughter married to John Newell, Esq; High Sheriff of the county of Limerick, who died without issue; and a son named Samuel who was a Doctor of Physic, and died unmarried. The third wife of the said Hugh Massey was Miss Kinsman, second daughter an coheir of ----Kinsman, Esq, who having no issue, the Estate of Kinsman went, by the other coheir, to Mr. Penefather, ancester of Col. Penefather of newpark, the present member for Cashel. We are not informed who was the other two wives of the said Hugh Massy, but that he had no issue by either of them.

Wife 1 (Margaret Percy) 2 children

Hugh son and heir

Alice (married Rev. Anthony Irby)

Wife 2 –

Daughter who married John Newell she died without issue.

No children by wives 3, 4, or 5.

II. Hugh Massy, of Duntryleague; son and heir of the aforesaid Hugh, by Margaret Percy; had issue by Amy Bendon, his wife, (daughter of --- Bendon, Esq: a family of considerable note in the north of Ireland and descended from the Bensons of Yorkshire, progenitors of the last Lord Bingley;) four sons and two daughters; viz; Hugh, oldest son and heir; John, William, and Charles, Margaret and Amy.

2. John Massy of Punuckane-evan, Esq; second son; married Eleanor, Daughter of --- O'Brien of Aharrofs, in the county of Cork; Esq, and had issue three sons and four daughters; of whom Hugh, the oldest son, married Frances, daughter and sole heir of Lieutenant-General Ingoldsby, Commander in Chief, and one of the Lords Justices and Chief Governors of Ireland, with James Duke of Ormond, and Lord Chancellor Phipps, in which government the general died, 29th Jan 1711) He had issue by the said Frances, Hugh Ingoldsby- Massy, who was educated at Eaton and Oxford, and was High Sheriff of the county of Limerick in 17 , but is since deceased; having married Mary Ann, daughter of James Nash, Esq; by whom he left issue two sons, viz; Hugh Ingoldsby-Massy, eldest son, now a Minor; and another son, who died lately.

Note son Hugh appears to have a son that died but he was unnamed in the pedigree.
