Hi Don:
Thanks for responding. I hope all that work helps advance our Marcy family origin search. I would like to get your reaction to p. 19 "Research Needed" of the Marcy BYU Family History Archive that I posted Can you fill in any gaps or needs mentioned? Maybe someone could search ship manifests for John around 1683. Puzzled about the Massy to Marcy name change when he came to America, probably simple dialect, mishearing at immigration, or pronunciation. My lineage, which I published for my family (100 pgs text and 240 photos) is JOHN >>> BENJAMIN >>>ASAHEL>>>BENJAMIN
JOHN JUDSON >>> GERALD JUDSON>>>LYLE BARTON >>> BARTON COLES>>> BARTON COLES, JR. >>> DOUGLAS COLES>>>BENJAMIN WALLACE- 1662-2009 (347 Years)
Do you think the case for the General as John's father is valid and my shooting holes in the High Sheriff connection based on the dates found?

What is you lineage and how far back have you gone. Like to share.

All Best;

Barton Marcy
