I have just started researching Major George O. Marcy, of the 1st Connecticut Cavalry. His service records lists Bridgeport as his residence.

During the time frame of April 4, 1864 - his regiment was enroute from reorganization in Balto. to Brandy Station, Virginia.
I know nothing of his family as I have not located a pension application on file at the National Archives, Washington, DC.

There was another George Marcy from Easton, Conn. - Private - in Co. C of the 8th Connecticut. He deserted Oct. 1864.

Do you have any further information as to Mary Norton Marcy?
There is a photo available of the Major.
