thats part of the trouble with writing from the top of my head. Still, I do believe Dr. Edward Marcy is of the Woodstock Ilk. Thanks for clearing up a few names and facts. I've seen William Markson Marcy listed as Marston and Markus. Your right, I have no record of Leston or Preston Marcy being twins. I do show William Markson Marcy as having twin siblings, Jim and Mary. Twins occur very often in many branches of the Marcy family. There are also over 40 doctors in the first six generations of the family, especially in Edward's family. No, this is not conclusive, but interesting. Hopefully good fuel for this forum.
Do you know Dr. Ronald M. Marcy, Professor at Southern Alabama? I have not contacted him but from the picture on his website I'd say he's a Marcy from the Woodstock clan. I will search the piles for other notes on this elusive "southerner" Edward Marcy.
Have you seen any information on Zadoc or Zadock Marcy? After a recent move I'm not organized enough to find the notes but his descendant's may shed some light on this.
I would like to fill in any notes on Marcy family tree's of the south that you have if we can establish proof enough for you. Gotta love this! jack kinnear
