I am currently researching the life of Josie (or Sadie) Earp, and have recently come into contact with Earl Chafin, editor of "Wyatt's Woman: She Married Wyatt Earp". He is well-versed in what seems to me to be an accurate account of her life, contrary to the admittedly made-up version published by Glenn Boyer. As for the marriage of Josie and Wyatt, there are two versions: one is that they were married on board Lucky Baldwin's yacht, and the other that they were married in Parker, Arizona in 1888. Chafin believes this later version, since Mattie Blaylock, Wyatt's former common-law wife, had died earlier in the year. I would be very interested in finding out the information you have regarding Lucky Baldwin, especially in connection with Wyatt Earp, and also their connection with Mark Twain. In particular, I am curious about the relationship between the Earps (especially the flirtatious Josie) and Lucky and his daughter. Hope you can answer soon.
