Louis Alexander Marcus NYC 1912

I am at the very beginning stages of my research. I believe that my paternal grandfather, Louis Alexander Marcus, was originally Leib Sender Markes of Bialystok. He was married to Fannie Clara Schaiman and both entered the U.S. at Castle Garden, NYC, very late 1880's or early 1890's. Louis Marcus died in 1912 or 1913, Fannie Clara Marcus in 1945. The family, which eventually included 5 girls and 4 boys, lived first in the Lower East Side of New York, then moved to Queens around 1920. where my sole surviving aunt, Sydna Marcus still resides. Most stayed in the NYC metro area, but one uncle, Nathan Marcus, moved to Raleigh, NC, where he opened a deli. Another uncle, Charles, eventually moved to Miami Beach, FL. Any information about the family's Polish antecedents would be appreciated.
