Laurie. I don't know if John(b abt. 1800)and Ezekial are brothers. It is possible. I know NOTHING about John's parents. In the 1850(Shannon Co. MO) and 1860 (Newton Co. MO) census he said he was born in N.C. John and his wife Martha(b. KY)first show up in Shannon Co. Missouri in 1850 with a large family. I did know there was an Ezekial in Newton Co about 1860. My cousin, who I research with, thinks that John was in Green Co. KY before he came to MO because of surrounding neighbors in Shannon Co. Do you have any other info except for the name co-incidence--which is VERY STRONG--and the geographic location to lead you to this conclusion? Anxious to hear from you. This is the first real lead I have ever had on his ancestry. I will, of course, share whatever I have which is very little--just basic knowledge on my own line. I assume you have read all the query answers Jeanete Jones Halter(J.J.)
