I am searching for my Metzger lineage through my great great grandmother, Anne Mariah Metzger Miller, dtr. of ?? and Hannah (Wurtz) Metzger. Anne was born abt. 1830 and died in 1913 in Uniontown, Pa., and was buried in the Union Cemetery, in New Centerville, Pa.
Anne Mariah Metzger married Hiram Miller (son of Jacob G. and Suzanna (Zimmerman) Miller of Berlin, Somerset Co., Pa. Hiram and Anne Mariah Metzger Miller had five known children: Anne M.L. Miller, Sarah Elizabeth Miller, John Leander Miller, Alonzo H. Miller, and Clarissa (Rockwell) Miller.
Anne Mariah Metzger had one known full brother, Marc Metzger, b. abt. 1837 in Pa., and one half brother, Wm. J. Olewine, b. abt. 1849 in Brothersvalley, Pa. Since Anne's mother remarried to a John Olewine and continued to raise Marc Metzger in this union, I assume that Anne's father was probably deceased young.
Hiram (died in late 1850's) and Anne Mariah Metzger Miller are both buried in Union Cemetery in the New Centerville, Pa.
