Marcotte Native American marriage 1800's

My sister and I were adopted and only found each other a year or so ago. We are both deeply connected to Native American culture and wonder if there is any connection with Marcottes of Wooten or Wootenville Canada near Sherbrooke and the Indians. Our maternal biological grandfather Casimir Marcotte came from there and settled in Lewiston, Maine in the late 1800's.
