I an Donald Barfield in Los Angeles, CA. I just started doing a family history tree and ran across your input for Thomas Jefferson MARCHMAN, DOB: October 16. 1842, White Plains, GA. My Great-Great Grandfather was Thomas Jefferson MARCHMAN from White Plains, GA. He had a son, my immediate Grandfather, Emmit Gordon MARCHMAN, who was born 1-18-1882 in White Plains, Georga. Emmit passed away on June 12, 1967 in Bellflower, CA. Emmit was the only son of Thomas Jefferson MARCHMAN, who was married to Mary Ann MARCHMAN(Unknown Maiden Name). Her DOB: October 11, 1846. Emmit had four sisters, Emma, Birdie, Anne and Ceene. Emmit MARCHMAN married Martha "Mable" NEELY in Georgia. They had seven sibilings, Jewel, Marion, Nora Christine, Mary Francis, Charles, Nell and Ray. Mary Francis MARCHMAN married Robert Harding BARFIELD. Mary Francis is my mother. The MARCHMAN family moved from White Plains, GA to the Los Angeles area I'm guessing sometime in the mid 1930's.

If you have further information on the MARCHMAN family, I would certainly like to exchange it with what I know of the MARCHMAN Clan. My e-mail address is Please let me know if you think we are talking of the same Thomas Jefferson MARCHMAN. Thank You. Don Barfield
