Wow, Bill, you have certainly made this old boys day! The folks you have listed are indeed my lost Marches!! I will be in touch with you again as soon as I have some free time. I will go through what I have and see if I can be of help to you! My Knight family line, as far as I have tracked them, come from the Redruth, Cornwall area with Richard Knight (Stephen Knight's father) and Catherine Roscrow Richard's wife. Stephen and Ann had only one child, a son William b.1815. He left Deal, Kent abt.1846 and landed at East Machias Maine. he later traveled to Minneapolis Minnesota, my hometown. I now live in Ogden Utah. Our verbal family history says that William and Three brothers all went to East Machias Maine. Their names have been lost to time however the storyline says William went to Minn. One went South along the East Coast,One went into the Tennessee area, and one went West to what is now Montana. This would be Sweetwater Montana and I have tracked these folks back to Minnesota and down to this area where I live now. It's amazing and I think the old adage of "six-degrees of seperation" are usually accurate. There are many Knight's in Virginia and the coastal region as well as Tennessee, Kentucky and a bunch in Texas and up the West Coast into Oregon and Washington. I'd bet these family lines are all related. Thank you so very much Steve Knight Notify Administrator about this message?
