Nathaniel Marble and his wife Abigail Houghten are my 5th great grandparents. I actually descend from two of their sons: Abijah and Nathaniel. Other children were Aretas (died early in the Revolution), Ephraim, Abigail (died young), Relief (died young), and a second daughter named Relief.

The family moved from Conway,Franklin, Massachusetts to Marbletown (originally Taunton), Wayne, NY around 1800-1801. From there some went to Phelp, Ontario, NY.

A good reference is An American Family: Botsford-Marble Ancestral Lines by Donald Lines Jacobus (1933). You can find it online and through Heritage Quest at the public library.

I would be happy to help you with your research. Feel free to email me.
