Searching for info on Persis A. Marble who was born c1825 possibly in Poland, Oxford Co., Maine. She married Daniel Moody c1844 probably in Maine and they had children:
Emma R., George F. or L., Augustus B., Edward D. and Charles A. MOODY.
Daniel and Persis lived in Minot, Cumberland Co., Maine in 1850 and by 1860 they were living in Lowell, Middlesex Co., MA. Persis died in Lowell about this time at an early age. Daniel remarried in 1862 in Lowell to Nancy M. JORDAN who was born in Danville, Maine.
I believe Daniel was a son of Daniel Moody who was in the 1850 Lowell, MA census at age 72 born Maine. His wife ?? at the time was named Delana and she was age 51 b. Maine.
There were a ton of Moody children or relatives living with them, All born in Maine. Also living with them was a Sarah E. MARBLE age 20 b. Maine who I suspect was a relative of Persis'.
I believe Daniel Moody, Sr. was previously married to someone named Rachel but can't prove it yet. Daniel, Sr. was also born in Minot, Cumberland Co., Maine.
If anyone has further info on this family I would be Most delighted if you could post it here.
Thank You.
