I really appreciate your email, please keep in touch. George Washington Marble, be referred as GWM was born 25 April 1883 in Osseo, WI. I was told that his school teacher could not handle his native american name so renamed him to GWM. My next finding of him is from the 1900 census of WI working as a farm hand. He married Dora Anna Hoousbeen 13 May 1908 in Jackson Co. WI. They had 11 children: Andy, Edward, my dad George(he was a twin the other child was still born), Alan, Frank, Floyd, Bobbie, Esther, Florence and Margaret born 3 Oct 1922 died June 1974. She was hit by a car somewhere in California. I met her twice. I had no idea that she had children other than a daughter in California. I'm sorry I do not know her name. I would like to hear more from you and John. I know I will think of more, also I have notes but I can't get my hands on where the box is there are in. I will look this weekend. I am going to send for GWM's birth certificate.
Let me hear from you soon,
Zoe
