Unfortunately, my dad's cousin wrote of Chicago IL MARBACHs. According to him, the name is not uncommon in Germany. Our folks were from Hess - near Frankfurt on Main. Since your ancestor lived in Philadelphia, have you checked ship's passenger lists? Do you know whether she was born in America or Germany? While I was checking ships passenger lists, I'd also check for the surname GLICKER. Many a shipboard romance ended up in marriage. These folks did not travel alone, but in family groups, from the same village, and same church, etc. I's worth a try.
