Looked up Wirksworth Parish records, and discovered that a
William Mapplebeck was before the courts on 3 different occassions for assault, riot and battery. If this William is the father of Thomas and I suspect he is one and the same guy, we have quite a character in the family!
- Records show he was a yeoman and a bailiff. - conections with Wombwell. Date given 1787.
Mansseh dies 2nd dec 1925
Mary his wife, died March 16th 1927
Edwins wife - Lilian Elizabeth Huckles b.12.9.1893 d. 3.4.1977

Edwin had following children:
Arthur d. 1941. don't know his dob yet - no children as far as I know]
Edward b 25th April 1916 d. Nov 1953
married Nancy 5th Jan 1946 [3 daughters: Lesley, Christina [me] and Lindzi]
Mary married Tom Barker[1 son-David]
Colin married Betty - [1 son -Richard]

I'll try and get all this info more ordered. I'm sure I'm losing some of this in the telling!
