Maplesden Family Genealogy Forum
Thanks again. Yes, I have tried both the Kent FHS and the NW Kent FHS (which includes Tonbridge and Tudeley) without response. Likewise with the 'Weller of Kent' Google group. Unfortunately, Richard WELLER's will does not give any clue as to when he was born or where. In addition to a MAPLESDEN family in Lamberhurst there was another in Headcorn, both of which are within 15 miles of Cranbrook where WELLERs were numerous. It was because William MAPLESDEN is described as 'brother-in-law' that I had assumed he married Richard WELLER's sister, and so posted my original message. I am aware that relationships mentioned in wills were not always as precise in C17 as we would expect today. I greatly appreciate your help with my search,
