William Maples had a brother, Thomas Maples who married Rachel Taylor. William and Thomas father was Marmaduke Maples. They may have had other siblings. I don't have my Maples papers with me right now. Both William and Thomas had sons by the given name of Marmaduke. William's son Marmaduke stayed in IL while Thomas' son Marmaduke stayed in the Bloomfield, Stoddard Co., MO area. There is documentation of him living there. It is on the rootsweb site for Stoddard Co., MO.
