I am searching for children and descendants of William LAWRENCE / LORANCE and Susannah TAYLOR. I have William's parents as David LOURANCE and Agnes SHERRELL. Susannah's parents are Benjamin TAYLOR and Christenah FULBRIGHT. The children that I have of William and Susannah LAWRENCE is;
1. Benjamin LAWRENCE b.1823
2. John D. LORANCE b.1830
3. William LAWRENCE b.1832
4. Nancy LAWRENCE b.1842
5. Abram LAWRENCE b.1843
I have Benjamin being married 3 times (1) Laveney LAWRENCE, she could possibly be Benjamin's sister not wife (2) Mary LORANCE (not sure of her maiden name) (1850 census)(3) Violetta LAYTON (1860 census)
John LORANCE married a Ruth (1850 census)
William LORANCE married a Nancy (1850 census)
Nancy LORANCE at home with mother, Susan LORANCE (1850)
Abram LORANCE at home with mother, Susan LORANCE (1850)
I have learned the above Laveney LAWRENCE married a Mortimar HOWARD (in 1850 census). She is said to be a daughter of William and Susannah LAWRENCE.
There is a daughter Elizabeth LAWRENCE who married David LEWIS (in 1850 census) with 6 children md abt 1837.
I am searching for a LAWRENCE daughter who married Marmaduke MAPLES about 1840. Their children were in the 1860 census. Marmaduke died about 1848 and his wife was still living at that time, but she wasn't in the 1850 or 1860 census. The grandfather Thomas Maples was in the 1850 census, but listed alone and a widower. The children were:
(1) William MAPLES b.1840 md Ruth YORK, 1865.
(2) Mary Elizabeth MAPLES b.1842 md ELI PRATT
(3) Lawson MAPLES b.1844 (last noted in 1860 census)
(4) John MAPLES b.1847 md (1) Catherine MASTERS, 1865 (2) E.M. LAMB, 1869.
Appreciate ANY leads on the children or descendants of William and Susannah LAWRENCE / LORANCE / LAWRANCE
or MAPLES. Especially the daughter who married Marmaduke MAPLES.
