Nancy Long was my ggggrandfather's, Rev. George W. Long 1, sister, my ggggAunt. Rev. George W. Long 1 married Nancy Elizabeth 'Maples.' The Long family moved from Va., to Sevier Co., Tn., then to McMinn Co., Tn.
I would be happy to exchange some info w/you. I have
quite a lot of the Maples family tree. My ggggrandparents had several children, one being a son that they named, Maples Long, in honor of his Mother's maiden name. He was my gggrandfather, and he married Mahala 'Atchley' Long in Tn., later they moved to Ark., spent sometime in Mo., during the Civil War. My great Aunt was Cynthia 'Long' Maples, the daughter of my great grandparents, Rev. Robert H. Long & Lucinda 'Holt' Long.
The 'Long's, the Maples and the Atchley family are
related all down through the generations. My email
