Hi Judi,
I have 6 people in the database that worked in glass factories. Two of them are identified as glass blowers. John F Cramer from Glassboro, NJ was married to a Mapes descendant so he wasn't actually a Mapes. Delos Mapes was from Corning, NY and was listed as a glass blower, so this may be the one you're looking for. Delos was born in 1876-78 and worked as a glass blower from 1900-1920 in Corning, NY. Do you have any idea about how old these glasses are or where your mother lived. That might give a clue whether Delos might be the right person.
