Hi Jami,

Dinah Riley is not your Samuel's mother. Although Dinah and Selah Mapes had a son named Samuel born in 1800 he is a different Samuel than yours. That Samuel married Sarah Button and eventually settled in Illinois. I have not been able to identify the parents of your Samuel, b. 1800, so he is still in the "unconnected" line.

Any hints as to how he connects would be greatly appreciated.
