Who Married Martha Parent? John T. or John?
Can anyone clear up some confusion about the husband of Martha Patience Parent? I have found reference to a John T. Manzer, born in the Netherlands, and a plain John Manzer. Martha Parent's husband John was supposedly in New Brunswick by 1783, and could not be the John T. listed in various postings as the father of Lawrence and or Christopher Manzer in New York about 1785 and 1787. The New York Manzers and the New Brunswick Manzers are probably related, but not too many Loyalists stayed in New York after the war. While we're at it, who were the five Manzer relatives in New York during the Revolutionary War? I know this has been answered earlier in the forum but I keep finding references to them all being brothers. Were they not brothers Christopher, John, and Barnett, and their cousins, brothers Martin and Daniel?
