Lynne, I just discovered the Manzer board and must tell you that I have a Lonson Manzer in my ancestors. His mother, Wealtha Butler Manzer, is my 3g grandmother and she was also the sister of Polly Butler Hickok, mother of James Butler Hickok also known as Wild Bill Hickok. Do you know any more about the ancestry of Jonathan Manzer? Jonathan and Wealtha (sp. Wealthy) are in the 1850 census in the town of Chemung in McHenry County, Illinois with children at home: Jason B. age 18 and Mary M.(should be Mary T.) age 16. Mary is my 2g grandmother and her daughter, Weltha is my great grandmother.
Jonathan and Wealtha's children are:
Lydia
Harriett
Lonson b. 1831
Jason B. b. 1832 and killed at Vicksburg
Mary T. b. 18 July 1834
I hope this helps you and if you have anything you can add to this I'd appreciate it. Jeannie
