They came from Lincolnshire UK and were the parents of my ggg grandfather English Gunmaker Joseph Manton who amongst other family had a son Gildon. Haven't had time to really look for the Gildon you are interested in as he appears to be quite distant to me but have seen one in the indexes in Queensland Australia.
