Mansker family

Since my last posting I have some new information.

I went to the IRAD despository at SIUC towards the end of the summer. I found some interesting things.

I found the marriage certificate for the people I believe to be my great grandparents, Benjamin King and Catherine Petitt. I also found the marriage entry for her parents, Hiram Petitt and Caroline Mansker, from Randolph County, Illinois.

I also found a death entry for the Alexander County Poor Farm for a Katy King, but it wasn't in 1894, but 1908. She was a widow of the right age to be Catherine Petitt, daughter of Caroline Mansker and Hiram Petitt.

Does anyone have access to poor farm records for Alexander County, Illinois in 1908?

Thank you

Bill Shelton
