thank you fred. I found the connection to Mansbridge on a familysearch.org back in 2002 and the marriage date for Margaret to Charles Wm Smith is correct but, Margaret Griffin & Charles Wm Smith definitely moved to NSW (1870) and Victoria (1872). There is no mention of any children other than Smith ones on Margaret's death certificate (1884 in Victoria)and only one husband Charles who I am still to locate. their eldest child, also Margaret was born in Perth around 1868 although there are no records. I did locate the grand-daughter of Margaret Smith (b. 1868) but as she was only few months old when her grandmother died, she had little information to help solve the puzzle. I was given the following births for children of Henry & Margaret Mansbridge, Margaret Mary born 1886, Violet Emily Mary 1886-1948, Ida Mirrian 1887-1891. There is a large gap between Margaret Mary's & Violet's births and the marriage of Henry & Margaret Griffin, so I'm not sure how accurate all that information is as I don't have access to the indexes for WA. Margaret Griffin's father was Patrick & mother Mary, which match death & marriage certificates that I have but it remains a puzzle as far as the Mansbridge connection goes.
thank you for your reply
