Dear Esther, would you happen to know of a sweet young lady who was named Josefa or Josefina Manriquez from Mexico who married a man named Jesus Barrandey? They later moved to Shafter,Texas where her husband was a Miner for the Silver Mining company there. They had alot of children. It appears she died very young when her children were small. One of her children was Jose manriquez Barrandey. He married Andrea Tavarez from Asienda,Texas. They moved to McCamey,Texas about 1955 from Shafter,Texas,or Van Horn,Texas. Josefa Manriquez,we think was born about 1861 in Mexico, and her husband Jesus Barrandey about 1866 in Mexico. It is said that Jesus looked like he was a white man.any help would be greatly appreciated.may God bless all of you on your searches,in The name of our good Lord,Jesus Christ, amen.
