Mannon in Arkansas

In 1848 my ancestor, Jonathan McKenney, became guardian for William Mannon (Manning) who was "a minor over the age of 14" in Washington County, Arkansas. There is no information about who William's parents might have been. Two years later, in the 1850 census, there was no William Mannon or Manning enumerated, but there was a Franklin Mannon who was 18 yo b. in Arkansas living with the family of Hugh Simpson. Since there were no other Mannon/Mannings in the County at the time, I am wondering if William and Franklin could have been the same person. Certainly Franklin would have been "a minor over the age of 14" two years earlier.

The only other family of this surname who might be William or Franklin's father was Moses Manning who was buying property in the County as early as 1839. And a Moses Manning was enumerated in the County in 1830 and 1840.

Can anyone tell me anything of this family?
